This brought the waxy Fuji files (which felt nearly worse than my rx100i X-Transformer doesn't allow the fine control or visual preview of sharpening that Iridient Developer does (or Lightroom), but in my opinion you'll get better end results if you at least use a Low level of Iridient sharpening and rely on less Adobe sharpening later. Now that Iridient X-Transformer has been out on the Mac for a little while I’ve had a chance to play around with it for a bit. After lots of testing and trying various combinations, I’ve come up with what I believe is the best approach to take if you prefer natural looking images. Iridient X-Transformer isn’t a full-blown raw processing package. What it does is de-mosaic the Fuji raw file and store it as a dng (Digital Negative) file.

Once X-Transformer has produced the dng file you are free to import it into any raw processor you like which supports the dng format – for example Adobe Lightroom.
